Kristen graduated from Kikkawa College in 1996 and is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. With over 20 years of massage therapy clinical experience she has developed a strong intuitive skill set in addition to an extensive knowledge of the human body.
In the past 2 decades Kristen has received certification in Reiki, Reflexology, labour support and delivery, lymphatic drainage, Myofascial release and hot stone massage. Her pursuits also include completing a 200hr yoga teacher training, an in-depth course in Aromatherapy and Bach Flower remedies and most recently certification in Cupping.
She is a firm believer in the mind /body connection and recognizes the impact that both stress and tension have on our systems. Her love for serving the community through health care inspires her to strive to continually expand her awareness of complementary medicine, nutrition and alternative therapies as a means to promote natural healing and wellness in the body.
Kristy graduated from the three-year massage therapy program at Georgian College where she achieved a diploma with honours and was on the Deans list. She is a member of both the College of Massage Therapists’ of Ontario and Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.
Kristy was a competitive dancer travelling to compete in many places like Riesa Germany for the Canadian tap team world championship - she attributes massage therapy to being a fundamental part of her training regime and believes that massage can help you achieve your goals, no matter what they may be. Her experience lends to her knowledge that massage can be used not only during a time of injury but to help prevent an injury.
Kristy’s has since received certification in taping, aromatherapy and Cupping. Her skill set further includes providing homecare instructions of stretching and strengthening exercises which further assist each client to achieve his/her treatment goals.
Candice Thornton, B.Sc., RMT, graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in September 2015, and was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Academic Excellence in her graduating class.
Candice is caring and knowledgeable, and feels privileged to help her clients achieve and maintain their wellness goals. She offers a holistic approach to treatment and utilizes various modalities including Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy and lymphatic drainage - depending on clients need and preference.
With over 7 years experience as a Pilates instructor, Candice can offer evidence-based exercise plans to enhance massage therapy and provide lasting relief between treatments. One on one Pilates instruction is also available for clients looking to improve their mind-body connection and general well being.
Candice enjoys working with clients of all ages and with a variety of ailments, and has a special interest in pre/postnatal and infant massage.
